Get me outta here!

My Pensieve

I strongly suspect sometimes that my life is one hilarious sitcom, and someone sitting up there is writing a funny script, watching it unfold, having the time of his/her life – all at my expense. Sorta like The Truman Show, starring yours truly.

For the most part I lead a boring, unremarkable life. Try to be as asocial as I can get away with. What’s so exciting about my life, you ask? Let’s see. It has to do with the kind of men I end up attracting. Right from school.

I was talking to a friend, BT, recently about some of the men I've encountered in my life so far, and he made a remark about the terrible luck I've had with them. It's been an odd mixture of frustration, irritation and hilarity. And, for everyone other than me, it’s good entertainment. So he suggested I pen them down. If nothing, I'll have a good laugh with my grand children one day (assuming I meet someone, get married, decide to have kids, and they meet someone, get married, have kids - okay, that's beginning to sound like a long shot now). Or, more realistically, tell my dozen cats and dogs.

Also, I currently have a nice, slightly overpaid job, with not too much work. And way too much time on my hands. This blog is a long delayed attempt from my end to pen down my thoughts on certain things that have been swirling around in my head – sorta like the Pensieve from Dumbledore’s office.

Going back in time and looking at the men I've met/dated/dealt with, I think right about now, the Universe owes me an awesome, amazing guy. It's the law of averages. And till that one finds me, I'll write about the other idiots who did. I’ll write about random things that bug me, make me laugh, and make me question my own sanity. And, I’ll try to keep it light and fun.

P.S. I will refrain from naming myself or others in this blog, as some of the contents may offend certain people - even though all characters appearing in this blog are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. If you know me personally, and are inclined to comment on any post, please do so without mentioning my name or yours. Initials will work just fine.

Dumbledore: "I use the Pensieve. One simply siphons the excess thoughts from one's mind, pours them into the basin, and examines them at one's leisure. It becomes easier to spot patterns and links, you understand, when they are in this form."

Harry: "You mean... that stuff's your thoughts?"

Dumbledore: "Certainly."

I can so relate to the wish list you have written. I too want each one of those.. :)

The post on the stalker dude. Superb post.. :)

I really want to write about the guy whom I met as you have written in the post Mr.Collins but he has my blog URL so I don't want to offend anyone, so keeping my thoughts to myself. Come to think of it the convo with him would not be that interesting either.. ;)

My profile is not up on any matrimonial sites. Yet. My parents are still searching among far off relatives-by-marriage kinda relatives who have sons of marriageable age.
